The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) recently released the October 1, 2016 enrollment figures for the 2016-17 school year.
The enrollment figures indicate that Lynn's kindergarten enrollment is
up about 2.8% from the previous year after a steady period of decline from 2012-13 through 2015-16. Enrollment at the 6th and 9th grade levels has been increasing over the last five years. Sixth grade enrollment is up 12% during that time frame and ninth grade up 6%. Overall, Lynn Public School District enrollment is up 8% since 2012-13.
