In a press release, Panagiotakis Koudanis, who is running as a Democrat, called herself a "political activist and environmentalist who foremost strives to bring improvement with the support of public interest." She goes on to state that her decision to run stems from a desire "to fight for the right changes." Some of Panagiotakis Koudanis's initiatives include:
  • Improving government communication with the public
  • Petitioning to save Union Hospital
  • Clean air and water acts
  • Innovated education in public schools

The race for 11th Essex State Rep. is shaping up to be a crowded field with Lynn Councilor At-Large Brendan Crighton in addition to Lynn School Committee members John Ford and Charlie Gallo previously announcing their candidacies for the seat as well.
