Lynn Parents Organizing for a Better Education Community Forum 10/23

Lynn Parents Organizing for a Better Education (LPOBE) is hosting a community forum later this month. The groups hopes to bring parents, students, teachers and administrators together in order to address communication related issues/concerns between LPS and public school families.

Possible topics could include such areas as:

-Methods/Means used for Communication
-PTOs/Family Engagement Teams/Focus Groups - What are they are for and what do we want them to be?
-Interpretation/Translation
-Parent-Teacher Communication - What do we need from each other?
-Parents as Partners in the Decision-Making Process

The ultimate goal of the forum is to have a discussion between all stakeholders around communication related issues in a positive, constructive way and, more importantly, to discuss solutions that will benefit both parents/students and teachers/administrators. LPOBE hopes that addressing this issue will result in more positive school-family relationships, better overall parental and teacher satisfaction in addition to improved educational outcomes for all Lynn public school students.
